Summary: Qualified candidates possess broad experience managing IT and SunWatch application projects. This position requires strong organizational skills and problem-solving expertise, to manage applications development projects while working with current technologies. Excellent project management skills, team orientation, flexibility, innovative thinking, and self-motivation are required for success. This Positions role crosses all processes and phases of the application development and support lifecycle. Having worked with MS project and MS project server and application development processes are strong assets.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partners with business owners, team members and other key personnel across various departments to plan, develop and manage key operational projects.
  • Facilitate appropriate communication methods and tracking tools to ensure identification and management of risks, mitigation strategies, plan activities, dependencies, impacts, escalation channels and detailed project documentation.
  • Create and manage project plans
  • Manage project backlogs
  • Manage Statement of Work (3rd party application vendors) through project lifecycle to ensure all contracted deliverables have been achieved (where applicable).
  • Manage financial, scope, and critical path for assigned projects.
  • Support our company’s project management best practices and provide feedback to improve the processes.
  • Ability to determine the right resources needed to effectively complete project assignments.
  • Resolve project issues to meet productivity, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction expectations.
  • Participate in regular team meetings/activities, as appropriate.
  • Builds and maintains strong peer relationships within the team and across the organization
  • Work with all stakeholders to articulate do-able goals, requirements, and schedule.  
  • Facilitate stakeholder updates by holding regular status meetings and publishing status reports
  • Provide weekly project updates, backlog reviews, and other reports as needed
  • Work with Project Portfolio Manager, application development team to compile information for creation of presentations as requested
  • Manages multiple projects in parallel, including highly complex projects.

Position Requirements/Technical Skills (CCC/Vendor)


  • 3-5 years of experience in successfully managing multiple small to medium size key operational and strategic projects, with varying complexity and moderate impact under moderate supervision, performs varied duties and assignments involving critical thinking and judgment.
  • Experience with project management lifecycle, processes and techniques (SDLC and Agile).  
  • Experience in obtaining resources needed to effectively complete project assignments & tasks in a matrix organization.
  • Proven collaborative leadership with effective negotiation, interpersonal and partnering skills.
  • Seasoned project planning skills with the ability to handle large workload, the ability to anticipate required tasks & milestones, and facilitate the activities of dynamic workgroups.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong written, verbal and listening communication skills.
  • High degree of organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Strong, effective decision-making skills.
  • Able to look at the big picture, conceptualize outcomes and identify trends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and project server.
  • Business analysis methodologies and experience.
  • Application software development lifecycle, application deployment and information systems planning experience.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint and Project Management Tools. .

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or combination of education and experience in a business discipline
  • Project Management Certification preferred (PMP)
