Computer Aid Inc. (CAI) is a $500M global IT consulting firm that specializes in high value, long term managed services engagements with our clients.  We are currently looking for an IT Data Analyst to be an integral part of the IT Governance team for one of our strategic accounts. This role is a combination of strategic, technical and tactical, working in close collaboration with the client to lead reporting on the IT operation for the CIO and Leadership Team.


This position requires a range of skills including ETL, Data Extraction, Report Creation, Dashboard Creation, Data Analysis/Interpretation and building recommendations for improving Data Quality. Pattern recognition and trend reporting is key. Communication skills, collaboration and the ability to build strong relationships with all levels of client’s team is critical.

The IT Data Analyst will be responsible for supporting the development, analysis, and reporting of IT metrics. The Data Analyst will ensure data quality, identify and interpret data patterns and trends, build data visualizations and self-service dashboards, develop timely and accurate data mining techniques and work with stakeholders to establish key performance indicators


  • Familiarity and understanding of IT governance, software development lifecycle, IT operations and software development related data.
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
  • Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. Identify data gaps within the IT portfolio.
  • Develop effective solutions and respond promptly to internal/external client analysis requests.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to gather data.
  • Assist in the development and analysis of reports on areas of service management, operations, governance, application support/development across the entire IT portfolio of work (projects and resources).
  • Conduct detailed analyses with MS Excel, using advanced functions including but not limited to tools and data management, pivot tables, formulas, etc.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams to understand business requirements and provide direction/guidance on what is considered best practices for reporting solutions.
  • Proactively search for ways to automate, improve and, streamline processes and add value for our business customers.
  • Maintain accurate data in IT tracking application tools used for IT KPI reporting.

Position Requirements/Technical Skills (CCC/Vendor)

  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a position directly responsible for data analysis, report generation, management and dissemination, preferably within an IT environment
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • MS Excel Expert – pivot tables, formulas, etc.
  • BI tools – Microstrategy V10 preferred; Experience working with Data Warehouses
  • Experience in Clarizen and Footprints, or comparable time or ticket tracking tool
  • ETL experience – extract and load tables from various sources
  • Understanding of databases and experience creating, extracting from
  • Ability to create and run SQL Queries
  • Working knowledge of project coordination and management, the SDLC, andgeneral IT project and service offerings Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, computer systems or other related field
  • Self-starter, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, as well as independently to support stakeholder requests
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills; independent thinking and creativity.
  • Considerable independent judgment needed to make decisions in carrying out assignments that have significant impact on IT support, project or program offerings.
  • Able to manage under pressure and tight deadlines - good stress management
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple requests, track details and manage change

  • Ability to learn complex internal software programs
  • Strong analytical and statistical analysis skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
