Systems Analyst / Engineer

Job Description as below:

 

Location: Owings Mills, MD

 

Looking for someone with a strong conceptual understanding of both the IBM mainframe and is versed in the distributed UNIX/WebSphere worlds.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build two additional mainframe environments for the customer
  • Working with DBAs, Mainframe systems developers, Unix systems developers
  • Strong communications/leadership skills.
  • Ensuring the code in stays current with production
  • Keeping the data relationships stay in synch
  • Ensure the ancillary applications are current and available for testing
  • Support the data needs of the regression test team
  • Work with the Release coordination team on all deployments
  • Provide governance and oversight for release deployments

 

 

Position Requirements/Technical Skills (CCC/Vendor)

Qualifications:

  • Previous Service or System Ownership of an enterprise application, familiarity with IS standards/policies and Service Management tools and processes
  • Good understanding of the ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) process framework and a managed service model in order to ensure that clients/project teams can obtain services efficiently.
  • 3+ years of experience in the deploying and supporting complex enterprise non-production environments

    • Production deployments
    • Production support
