Job Description:

The engagement is to work within a split team of 4 to support a large, complex back office administrative platform for a customer in the Insurance industry. This position will be based out of CAI’s Allentown headquarters location.


The candidate’s primary function will be providing second level support and maintenance services for the customer's large policy administration applications. The candidate will be required to troubleshoot and resolve technical application errors, while providing strong customer service results to users across the US and Canada. Incident resolution could include policy/account research, data analysis, SQL script creation or the process of synching up data with the customer's internal mainframe system. Applicants with experience in the Insurance industry or experience supporting software applications would be a plus.


Primary Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Provide application support and technical solutions to a large user community
  • Informix Database / SQL Scripting - Solid SQL skills that can be applied to policy and account data research and SQL script writing
  • Familiarity with the .NET platform and VB.NET are preferred for the ability to debug code to determine an error's root cause
  • Work in a team environment to resolve incidents routed to 2nd level
  • Use of analytical and troubleshooting skills while working directly with users to provide technical solutions
  • Builds strong relationships with users and collaborates effectively with
    developers, business analysts and other subject matter experts
  • Assists in maintenance processes and documentation efforts as required
  • Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn the client's applications, support processes as well the internal tools that are utilized

  • Capable to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
