Position Description/Responsibilities (CCC/Vendor)

Computer Aid is looking for a Project Leader for a client in the Tallahassee area. This is a contract through 6/30/2018 with possible extensions and interested candidates must interview in person.  

 

  

Scope of Services

The primary function of the Project Coordinator will be to provide support to the Project Director and team as needed. This individual will be assigned to a high profile, multi-year, multi-phase project and must be able to hit the ground running. They must possess knowledge and proficiency in the use of project management methodologies and tools, schedule management practices and change management techniques. They will be responsible for composing and maintaining the integrated master project schedule, status reports, and spend plans; while balancing additional project oriented work efforts as assigned. The Project Coordinator will work with the Project Director to monitor the contract schedule performance, identifying variances, and implement changes as necessary. The Coordinator must have practical and recent application and experience with Microsoft Project. Constructing and integrating multiple schedules will be a main component for this role.

Education

 

 

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
The Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification is required.

  

Experience

 

 

 

5 to 7 years of IT related work, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
Experience managing projects is a plus, however not required.
Solid, demonstrated knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, Outlook).
Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Excel is required.
Experience with SharePoint, including administration, is highly desired.

  

Primary Job Duties/ Tasks

 

 

 

The submitted candidate must be able to perform the following duties and/or tasks:
Administrative:
1.     Provide full administrative support to the Project Director, including status and schedule reporting, and change management.
2.     Supply requests for information and data, as requested.
3.     Proactively undertake other duties, as assigned.

Project Reporting:
1.     Manage and proactively update project status tracking.
2.     Complete the necessary project status reporting as required by the Project Director.
3.     Understand and comply with the reporting and documentation requirements outlined in the Agency for State Technology (AST), Chapter 74-1 F.A.C.
4.     Assess and draft responses to the AST monthly KPI Dashboard reviews and Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V)

Schedule Management:
1.     Updates the schedule status as required, produce reports, track variances, identify pending milestones and scheduled tasks slippage.
2.     Analyze the schedule, including ensuring that schedule logic is consistent and maintained, analyzing what-if scenarios, and reviewing critical-path.
3.     Work with the Project Team and vendors to collect project status, schedule updates, identify and resolve conflicts.

Cost Management:
1.     Analyze, prepare, validate, and maintain cost estimates, detailed baseline budgets and monthly cost variance reports.
2.     Update the project budget and project forecasts, perform cost variance analysis.

Quality and Change Management:
1.     Help administer change control to schedule and budget, ensure that all changes are documented via the appropriate change control process.
2.    Manage the Quality Assurance plan to track, report, and resolve quality deficiencies.
