Position Description/Responsibilities (CCC/Vendor)

The Enterprise Integration Architect is responsible for establishing and executing a vision for building an integration fabric that will provide a wide range of integration services (micro services, SOA, data integration, API’s, etc.) for applications, vendors, third party providers and customers.   The Enterprise Integration Architect operates across organizational and technology "silos" to implement a platform that facilitates seamless integration between on premise and cloud applications. This role works closely with Information Security, Technology and Business Subject Matter Experts, IT and Business Leaders.



Primary Responsibilities:

  • The Enterprise Integration Architect will be accountable for developing and communicating IT technology plans and roadmaps into an Enterprise Architecture with specific emphasis on application, data and cloud integration.
  • The Integration Architect is responsible for supporting and advising Solution Architects on best design options. You will ensure that principals and standards are defined and adhered to and that suppliers are compliant.
  • The Integration Architect will be a primary contributor in the analysis and design of the integration architecture to meet evolving technical and business requirements. This includes assessment of new products and methods, developing and implementing appropriate integration practices across multiple applications, operating systems, hardware platforms and delivery models (Cloud and Internally hosted).
  • The Integration Architect will be responsible for inventorying current integration patterns, identifying missing capabilities and making recommendations on best practices in closing the gaps. 
  • Re-engineers and maintains an enterprise wide view of integration patterns and capabilities across all business systems.
  • Provides the organization with a future-state view of the integration landscape that is being transformed by the proliferation and integration of cloud solutions with on premise information and applications.
  • Lead evangelist and influencer for all things ‘’integration’ by establishing strong business and technology relationships throughout the company. 

Position Requirements/Technical Skills (CCC/Vendor)

Expereince and Technical Requirements: 

  • This role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Analytics or a related study
  • The candidate should have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Information Technology disciplines related to application and data integration with progressing increases in responsibility throughout their career. 
  • Specifically, the incumbent must have at least 5 years’ experience as an Enterprise Architect with prior experience in micro services, SOA, API’s and other leading integration techniques.
  • Experience working with supply chain and e-commerce data architectures is highly desired.  Working experience with integration technologies:  SOAP, REST, JMS, Swagger/OpenAPI.
  • Experience with multiple integration platforms (IBM, Mulesoft, Informatica, Apigee, Dellboomi, etc. and their capabilities are high desired.
  • Experience working with cloud providers (AWS, Google, Azure) and integrating these and SaaS solutions with on premise data and applications.
  • Demonstrable experience in IT industry standards, services, design, architecture principles design, architecture views and viewpoint design, building block design and solutions modelling.
  • Highly skilled at conceptualizing information through the use of diagrams and models. Effective conceptualization, pattern recognition and design thinking skills.
  • Expert level Data-modeling and information classification expertise at the enterprise level.
  • System integration experience, including interface design, and familiarity with web-oriented architecture techniques.
