Position Description/Responsibilities (CCC/Vendor)

 

Summary

Looking for a detail oriented individual with at least  5 years of Accounts Payable experience who will take full ownership of the accounts payable process. This person should be a catalyst for change in the accounting industry.  The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services to include, but not limited to, processing and monitoring payments and expenditures, ensuring finances are accurate and up to date and vendors and suppliers are paid within established time limits

 

Accounts Payable Clerk Job Duties:

  • Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
  • Prepare and input batches of invoice for payment
  • Reconcile vendor invoices to company approved purchase requisitions
  • Assist in the generation of payment proposals on a weekly basis
  • Assist in responding to emails from vendors and associates
  • Research and resolve vendor issues in a timely manner
  • Review and audit expense reports to ensure they comply with Company issued Travel and Entertainment guidelines
  • Assist in the preparation and issues of 1099s

 

Accounts Payable Clerk Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years accounts payable experience
  • Knowledge of general accounting procedures required
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with a proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Ability to work well with others in a highly collaborative team based environment
  • Ability to multitask and move to other tasks as necessary
  • Strong customer service skills required with an ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in written form)
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data entry and data management is required
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all financial matters is required
  • Organization and communication skills required
