Position Description/Responsibilities (CCC/Vendor)

Computer Aid is looking for a Systems Analyst for a long term project in Tallahassee, FL.  This is a multi year contract and candidates are strongly recommeneded to interview in person.

 

Our client is seeking the services of an experienced consultant to act as a Systems Administrator. This consultant will be capable of managing and developing core and custom solutions in our ServiceNow environment. Responsibilities include configuring, administering and maintaining the ServiceNow ITSM tool and additional applications and modules. This role works with Management leadership to develop technical solutions that satisfy the business needs of the IT and other program areas seeking to use ServiceNow. The Consultant will configure and Customize the ServiceNow platform, including workflow creation; the selected candidate must have the ability to take charge of challenges, adapt to the business needs, and stay focused on delivering results.

Position Requirements/Technical Skills (CCC/Vendor)

 

The Systems Administrator will perform the scope of work to including, but not limited to, the following lists of activities:

 

  • Configure, gather, and document core systems' user and process requirements, functional requirements, and develop technical requirements and workflow customizations;
  • Build service requests based off of customer requirements;
  • Import and export data between ServiceNow and other systems;
  • Assist in creation of Views for reporting purposes;
  • Analyze and fully understand user requirements and current procedures in order to improve system capabilities;
  • Customize core applications using Business Rules, UI Policies, and UI Actions
  • Develop and maintain test plans and production support procedures for software and systems already in place or in the planning and implementation stages;
  • Monitor health, usage and overall compliance of the application;
  • Leverage your experience with the platform to devise solutions addressing incidents and challenges;
  • Collaborate with team members to continuously improve OIT's enterprise platform related processes (i.e. Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, etc.);
  • Ensure and maintain the integrity of the CMDB data;
  • Participate in continuous process improvement in all areas of ITSM.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.

 

Required Qualifications                                         

  • 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow Platform;
  • ServiceNow Administration certification;
  • Strong working knowledge of ServiceNow components such as Service Catalog, Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, Asset Management, CMDB, Knowledge Management, and Discovery;
  • Ability to recognize potential and actual issues, needs, and opportunities for improvement in the implementation of ITSM technologies and service management practices;
  • Thorough understanding of IT Service Lifecycle;
  • Deep understanding of system and ITSM core configurations in ServiceNow;
  • Experience with implementations and/or migrations to the ServiceNow platform
  • Experience implementing Discovery;
  • Ability to recognize potential and actual issues, needs and opportunities for improvement in the implementation of ITSM technologies and service management practices;
  • Experience with LDAP integration;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

                                                

  • ServiceNow Developer certification;
  • ITIL Certification;
  • Experience developing and configuring ServiceNow Orchestration and IT Business Management Modules.
