    Job Location: Pittsburgh, PA



    The business analyst is the key connection between the business and the IT team. BA's have a deep understanding of the business processes and understand how technology can solve issues the business is facing or might face in the future.

    • Key liaison with the business.
    • Analyze complex business problems and assess how technology may solve them.
    • Recommend solutions (new software, updated software, new hardware).
    • Consult with business on requirements to develop business requirements documentation.
    • Develop (with the business) user acceptance requirements for new software (user test plans).
    • Provide support to business when key issues occur (bridge business and IT solutions when major incident occurs, react to regulatory and compliance issues).

    This position will support the product development department. The ideal candidate will have experience with process modeling and content architecture. This person should know basic SQL and understand how customer data flows through the organization.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Support the completion of the Business Requirements Document by:

    • Developing moderately complex requirements for solutions by working closely with the business and appropriate IT teams.
    • Developing functional design documents breaking down business requirements into functional requirements.
    • Using Business Requirements Documentation standards and process.
    • Collaborating with the User Experience team to build an intuitive user experience for the customers.

    Supports the development process by:

    • Supporting solution design by providing insight at design sessions with IT teams to help translate requirements into workable business solutions.
    • Recommending the need for additional data and/or services to address key business issues.
    • Researching third party solutions as needed.
    • Adhering to SDLC and/or PMLC standards and governance.

    Support solution deployment and support by:

    • Supporting solution integration and user acceptance testing.
    • Developing UAT test plans and executing them with stakeholders and end users.
    • Providing post implementation support to business.
    • Developing complex user acceptance criteria.
    • Serving as a liaison between business and development to manage requests for additional scope or process changes.
    • Testing case execution as needed.
    • Experience in Waterfall, Agile, Kanban and Lean preferable.
    • Cyber Security experience needed.

    Supports continuous business process improvement by understanding business processes and current strategies, researching business best practices, and staying current on related system solutions.
