    Our Client is a leading and innovative best in class electronic materials supplier to the semiconductor industry. With $1 billion in sales in fiscal 2015, Versum Materials is comprised of two primary business segments, Materials (~75% revenues) and Delivery Systems and Services (~25% revenues). It participates in six of seven key semiconductor process steps, supplying high purity specialty process gas, cleaners and etchants, slurries, organosilanes and organometallics deposition films, and equipment. Versum, headquartered in Tempe, Arizona, has approximately 1,900 employees, 14 manufacturing and six research and development facilities in the Americas and Asia.


    The focus of 2018 is “Transition to Operations”.  As part of the that initiative, it is critical to ensure Security Operations is being properly managed through our existing Service Providers and any outstanding gaps are addressed.  This contract Security Operations Analyst position is the focal point for operationalizing the Security Services for Versum Materials.


    Position Description: 

    The Security Operations Analyst is responsible for the development of necessary Security Incident Management processes, procedures, and support models.   The analyst works directly with Versum’s SEO [Service Excellence Office] & Global Service Desk resources to identify & resolve possible Security Incidents, define & document procedures for handling and escalating Security Incidents, and assist with recovery from a Security Incident.  A key deliverable from this assignment is to design and document a Security Incident Management playbook for the Versum teams to follow.  It is also necessary for the analyst to engage/triage with current Security Service Providers like Microsoft, Mimecast, Virtela, and SecureWorks.


    Additionally, the security Operations Analyst will be responsible for proactively assessing the security health of the Versum’s materials computing environment.  This activity includes developing operational metrics and management reports using a variety of tools and software already in use by Versum and its' 3rd party suppliers.  Many dashboards already exist in the vendor portals. In addition to those portals, there are several other tools that exists in the Versum environment including ServiceNow [ITSM tool], Qualys, Kenna, BitSight, etc...



    • Developing the Security Incident Management playbook and escalation procedures.
    • Adhere to existing SEO Incident, Problem and Change Management processes.
    • Participate in ITIL CPI [Continual Process Improvement] program.
    • Monitoring, analyzing and responding to infrastructure threats and vulnerabilities.
    • Creating and maintaining operational reports for Key Performance Indicators and weekly and Monthly Metrics
    • Performing monitoring, research, assessment and analysis on Intrusion Detection and Advanced Threat Protection tools.
    • Participate in TRB [Technology Review Board] and CAB [Change Advisory Board] processes.

    Position Requirements/Technical Skills (CCC/Vendor)

    Qualifications/Experience - The ideal candidate has…

    • 2+ years working in the security and operations fields
    • In-depth knowledge of Intrusion Detection and Advanced Threat Protection techniques and tools.
    • Exposure to Vulnerability Assessments, Penetration Testing and Forensic analysis.
    • Degree in Information Technology and/or relevant Security Certifications from GIAC, (ISC)², etc.
    • Solid understanding of ITIL Service Operations processes
    • Experience working in the ServiceNow ITSM tool to manage Incident, Problems and Changes, or similar a ITSM software.
