    Bench Technician 

    Computer Aid Inc., is searching for an Bench Technician for a long term position for our client in the West Palm Beach, area. Training is paid and provided. Employees receive 2 weeks’ vacation and great benefits.

    You would work as a bench technician at the Toll roads under the jurisdiction of the Florida’s Turnpike, checking for common problems such as defective manufacturing or loose connections, referring to schematics and specifications to locate the malfunction.


    • Assemble electronic parts, such as circuits and wires.
    • Testing and troubleshooting to component level using schematics
    • Repairing electronic assemblies from customers and manufacturing
    • Developing troubleshooting data and procedures for FDOT products
    • Recording test and repair results in databases and forms
    • Maintaining tested assemblies documentation
    • Assisting other assemblers and engineers as needed

    Position Requirements/Technical Skills (CCC/Vendor)


    • Ability to follow blueprints, schematics and engineering drawings to put together electronic components, subassemblies, products or systems, working closely with different departments.
    • Written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to use a computer for communication and record keeping.
    • Ability to work effectively within all organizational levels and departments to achieve desired results; the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
    • Ability to bend, squat, crawl, reach and maneuver in tight spaces and above ground via bucket truck.
    • Ability to carry/lift up to 50 pounds, climb, pull, push, stand, twist, walk and drive a contractor vehicle under FDOT policies.
    • Ability to work flexible shifts and multiple work schedules



    • Must possess a valid FL Driver's License.
    • Associates degree preferred in Electronic or related field, or equivalent experience.
    • 3 years previous electronic experience.
    • Knowledge in Linux, Win7, Office 2013,
    • Knowledge in Fiber Optics, RF and Networking.
