    Computer Aid Inc, a leader in IT services and solutions, has an immediate opening for a Senior Java Architect in the Harrisburg, PA area.  The Senior Java Architect will be responsible for designing a new and complex Java web based application with multiple interfaces to replace the current legacy system (PowerBuilder/COBOL) and existing database (DB2).   



    • Design a web based application using Java with Oracle DB (Spatial and Graph)
    • Develop a technical architecture approach to support a multi-phase rewrite
    • Replace the current legacy system (PowerBuilder/COBOL and DB2 database)
    • Develop complex infrastructure diagram documentation and specifications
    • Provide ongoing technical support during development
    • Work independently and alongside a team of architects/designers/developers
    • Make design recommendations to improve efficiency; a creative problem solver



    Position Requirements/Technical Skills (CCC/Vendor)

    Position Requirements/Technical Skills

    • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject; or equivalent real world experience
    • 8+ hands on experience in designing enterprise-level applications using Java EE platforms
    • Experience with Oracle databases
    • Strong documentation skills including the ability to create design specifications
    • Proven hands-on Software Development experience
    • Security experience with Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
    • Previous experience with PowerBuilder and COBOL (optional)
    • Excellent written and oral communication
    • Must be willing to interview in person
