    Sr. Java Enterprise Architect


    Computer Aid Inc, a leader in IT services and solutions, has an immediate opening for an Enterprise Architect in the Harrisburg, PA area.  The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for overseeing the application development best practices of several teams, and for providing thought leadership on the use of application frameworks and modern development practices. 


    This role will have a high level of client visibility.  The ideal candidate will blend deep hands-on technical skill with the ability to present to all levels of staff, including client executive staff.



    • Participate in client and CAI Enterprise Architecture visioning, strategy, and execution
    • Assess the health of applications overseen by the CAI team, and provide strategic direction to CAI and our client regarding evolving the application portfolio over time
    • Oversee the evolution of a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) infrastructure used by CAI and client teams
    • Provide hands-on guidance to application development teams regarding effective development practices, CI/CD, and framework use
    • As needed, execute Proofs of Concept (POCs) / Proofs of Technology (POTs) in support of CAI and client initiatives
    • As needed, engage in troubleshooting efforts and provide technical leadership

    • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject; or equivalent real-world experience
    • 8+ years of experience designing enterprise-level applications using Java EE platforms
    • Strong experience with relational databases; Oracle preferred
    • Strong documentation skills including the ability to create design specifications
    • Proven hands-on Software Development experience
    • Excellent written and oral communication
    • Must be willing to interview in person
