    Full Stack C# ASP.NET Developer

     

    Location: Allentown, PA

    Duration: 9 mos (likely extensions)

    Position Description:

    This Technical position is responsible for developing application solutions that leverage the Microsoft Technology stack, which includes .NET. The successful candidate will report to a team lead in the IT Applications organization and will be involved in a wide range of challenging IT projects.

     

    Position Responsibilities:

    Develop application solutions for a wide variety of challenging IT projects

    Determine technical requirements of projects to ensure that client specifications are met

    Work closely with solution architects\technical leads to develop new and existing solutions

    Work closely with Infrastructure teams during implementation of solutions

    Participate in quality assurance aspects of projects

    Learn, help design and implement cross business process solutions

     

    Education/Experience:

    6+ years’ hands-on experience working on web and various C#.NET applications

    Experience with front end web application technologies such as AngularJS is required

    Experience with web technologies like ASP.NET, Web API, MVC, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery.

    Experience with XML and schemas (DTD, XSD); XML programming.

    Experience with relational database technologies and programming, e.g. SQL Server.

    Experience with mobile technologies such as Xamarin is a plus.

    Knowledge of IT system development and IT infrastructure

    Knowledge of software development tools, technologies and methodologies

    Good communication skills, including the ability to work independently.

    Knowledge and experience in applying object-oriented design and implementation.

    Knowledge and experience with project methodologies, e.g. ALM or Agile.

    Ability to apply frameworks, standards and patterns (e.g. MVC).

    Ability to manage multiple project priorities and competing demands.

    Development experience with Microsoft’s .NET Framework and Visual Studio IDE, using C# as the development language.

    A bachelor's degree in Information Technology or in a related technical discipline (e.g., Engineering or Science)

    Team and Projects:

    • 20-25 Developers
    • Some Developers work on projects solely by themselves but mostly all work together with the team
    • Mixture of new development and support/ redesign of existing application projects in process today
    • Projects focus mainly around web and mobile application development
