    CAI is looking for a System Admin. in the Kutztown, Pa. area


     















    This is a long term position, local candidates preferred.


     


    Position Summary


    The Senior Systems Administrator ensures reliable and smooth operation of all manufacturing IT infrastructure for a 24x7 commercial manufacturing facility in the site Data Center, including Windows servers, workstations and infrastructure related software, SAN storage, clustering technology, VMWare, Citrix, Active Directory, intrusion detection and IT infrastructure monitoring. 


     


    System Administrator:



    • Reviews, plans, evaluates, troubleshoots, recommends and installs new and existing Network computing systems in physical and virtual environments (VMware, Windows, Linux, Citrix).

    • Analyses department practices, budgetary requirements and performance standards to create new systems or revise established procedures.

    • Studies department methods in order to improve workflow or implement cost reductions.

    • Defines equipment needs.

    • Provides systems documentation, project tracking and management reporting.

    • Provides level II software support and works with outside personnel when necessary in order to maintain existing and future software products.

    • Installs, configures and maintains operating systems.

    • Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches.

    • Performs system backups and recovery.

    • Examines plans and specifications to determine work procedures, estimate costs, and requisition needed materials, tools, supplies and equipment.

    • Detects, diagnoses, reports, analyzes and resolves problems associated with server hardware, operating systems and applications software.

    • Installs, monitors and supports system backup, monitoring and protection tools relating to health and cyber security.

    • 24X7 on call
