  • Quality Analyst

  • Position Description/Responsibilities (CCC/Vendor)

    Computer Aid is adding to our team located onsite at PennDOT. We are seeking a Quality Analyst for a development team that is incrementally replacing a legacy system. The Quality Analyst will be the single point of contact for all testing activities related to the project. This includes: scheduling and managing all testing phases/activities, performing or overseeing system testing and integration testing, coordinating performance testing, and managing user acceptance testing by internal and external clients.

     

    The Quality Analyst will:

    • Create and maintain project-specific QA processes to ensure control quality and provide consistency in the products that are created
    • Schedule and coordinate all testing activities that are 1) internal to the technical development team and 2) performed by external teams such as the performance testing group or the business users
    • Develop Test Plan documentation
    • Create and execute, and/or coordinate creation and execution, of manual test cases and scenarios
    • Track and report test results
    • Track defects and defect remediation using VSTS
    • Escalate issues when appropriate
    • Provide support for creation and execution of automated test scripts including performance testing

    Position Requirements/Technical Skills (CCC/Vendor)

    In order to be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and experience:

    • 8 or more years of experience as a QA Analyst in software product or custom software development
    • 5 or more years of experience creating, reviewing, and executing testing plans and manual test scripts
    • 3 or more years of experience using automated testing (unit, regression, and/or stress/performance)
    • Experience tracking defects in VSTS
    • Experience using cross-browser testing tools like BrowserStack is a plus
    • Strong QA planning and management skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
