    Munhall, PA

    Duration: 18 mos with extensions; possible hire

    Will sport thermal simulations and flow testing/simulation.

     

    Job description:

    • Experience with ABAQUS or other commercial heat transfer code, or Ansys Fluent / Phoenics or other commercial CFD code.
    • Experience with CAD systems such as AutoCAD/ AutoDesk/ ProE
    • Understanding in modeling techniques to simulate transient or steady state heat transfer
    • Able to develop a project outline and prioritize design considerations.
    • Understanding in modeling techniques to simulate liquid and gas, laminar and turbulent, steady and unsteady.
    • Willing to work in lab area to use physical models and correlate data to simulations
    • Willing to travel to manufacturing locations to support data collection, plant trials, troubleshooting/root cause issues
    • Able to create simulation models and build prediction tools to evaluate and iterate (DOE)
