  • Position Description/Responsibilities (CCC/Vendor)

    Create, enhance, and maintain computer information systems by gathering and analyzing requirements, designing, coding, testing, and documenting changes. Provide technical leadership to less experienced developers. Provide daily support to the customer and business users through research and incident resolutions. Possess excellent communication, organization, prioritization, and analytical skills. Able to work on multiple work responsibilities while delivering high quality innovated solutions to the client.

     

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop and maintain major portions of applications on the client’s custom framework using Java, JSON, JQUERY, Ajax and Bootstrap
    • Evaluate user requests for new or modified functionality, to determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current system, and computer capabilities
    • Report work status on a consistent basis
    • Lead technical analysis and solution sessions for large project deployments
    • Provide technical leadership to less experience developers
    • Collaborate with team members, architects, and business leaders
    • Proactively address potential production risks
    • Resolve daily issues and service tickets
    • Follow product management standards and participating in reviews of these standards
    • Test and validate deployed projects
    • Update the Crash Reporting System web interface using jQuery, AJAX and Bootstrap to make it compatible for IE 11, Chrome and Firefox.
    • Use iText to build multiple PDF reports for Crash Reporting System
    • Update the Easy Street Diagram from plugin to web component in CRS.
    • Design and develop the ESRI MAPS solution to provide dynamic map futures for CRS users.
    • Design and develop the FARS Web Service batch job to send fatal data to Federal FARS system.
    • Design and develop REST services using Jersey to accomplish the new Web-Component replacing Applets for Automated Permit Routing/Analysis System.
    • Enhance Crash Reporting System to accept XML data using multiple schemas from external police agencies.
    • Lead migration of Enterprise applications on to IBM Web Sphere application servers.
    • Integrate web services with IBM Data Power for identifying end user and their roles.

    Position Requirements/Technical Skills (CCC/Vendor)

    Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Engineering, or related field, plus a minimum of five years of experience as a Programmer/Analyst, Software Developer, IT Consultant, or similar occupation.

     

    Special Requirements:

    Qualifying five years of experience must have included previous work with designing, coding and testing software programs, along with software engineer type functions. In addition, the five years of experience must have included work with the following technologies: Java, JQUERY, Ajax, Bootstrap, JSON and Crash Reporting System interface.

     

    All individuals will also be subject to CAI’s pre-employment screening process, post offer, which consists of a background check and drug screen.
