    Computer Aid Inc. (CAI) is a $500M global IT consulting firm that specializes in high value, long term managed services engagements with our clients.  We are looking for an IT QA and Automation Manager to lead an outsource QA team in one of our strategic accounts.  This role is a combination of strategic, technical and tactical, working in close collaboration with our client in transformation from a legacy environment to an automated, digital, cloud based enterprise, operating in an agile framework.    

    This management position requires both technical skills and leadership in a multi technology environment including web/e-commerce applications (.Net, Sitecore), AS/400 and 3rd party packages. Requires strong knowledge of the full SDLC with a focus on all aspects of QA/Testing including functional, multi-browser, systems integration, performance, load testing and Automation, DevOps. Responsible for personnel management, test strategies, test planning, team performance metrics analysis, client executive reporting and acting as a strategic advisor on QA, Automation and best practices in testing.

    Communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with all levels of client and CAI team personnel is critical.

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for performing and leading the integration, system, and regression testing of software with both manual and automated test execution
    • Provide leadership in defining and executing an automation strategy across the enterprise for test execution
    • Support and lead transition to Agile for the testing organization
    • Developing quality artifacts (Test Strategy, Test Plans etc.,)
    • Ensure test data management best practices for full testing across integrated enterprise systems
    • Develop environment controls to manage and test projects and initiatives across Dev, Test, Stage
    • Conduct lessons learned throughout the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
    • Work collaboratively with all IT teams to understand project objectives, gather testing and automation requirements, design tests (manual or automated), troubleshoot issues, and implement test solutions
    • Plan test schedules in accordance with release and project schedules
    • Manage a team of testers, both onsite at client location and offshore, including daily stand up and transition meetings
    • Train and mentor all resources on processes and technology for Quality Assurance and Testing
    • Track and analyze testing metrics to identify areas of improvement in the SDLC and make recommendations

    Position Requirements/Technical Skills (CCC/Vendor)

    General Qualifications:

     

    • BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related degree or equivalent work experience
    • 10+ years’ experience in QA/Testing
    • 5+ years managing and leading QA/Test teams, including off shore testing teams
    • Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies and
    • Experience supporting newer techniques (e.g. Test Driven Development, CI/CD, Continuous Integration, DevOps),
    • 5+ years’ experience with QA/testing with various technology stacks, including .Net, digital platforms (e.g. Sitecore or others similar), mainframe, 3rd party packages and web services.
    • 7+ years’ experience using testing tools such as: Quality Center, Test Director or equivalent – experience with TFS and Test Manager required
    • 3+ years’ experience in test data management - building strategies and plans for loading test data into environments
    • 3+ years’ experience in using automated testing tools - creating and running automated tests using commercial or open source tools (e.g., Selenium, UFT, Ruby, Cucumber, Load Runner)
    • 3+ years’ experience leading User Acceptance Testing and Performance Testing
    • Experienced with mobility and cloud testing
    • Preferred: Experience or exposure to DevOps tools (e.g. Hudson, Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Git)
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively, and flexibility to multi-task and adapt to changing business needs
    • Delivery-oriented team player who takes responsibility for the team’s success and drives accountability – also works Hands On in the testing and planning
    • Ability to effectively communicate to key stakeholders/management concisely and professionally
