    So, what is CAI’s Software Developer Job and Training Program? CAI has partnered with a prominent HealthCare Provider in the Harrisburg, PA area to offer an unique opportunity for individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder Diagnosis to participate in a paid 6 week Mainframe programming course at no cost to the participant.  Those who successfully complete the course will be offered a job as a Mainframe Software Developer on a CAI team located at our partner’s offices. Mainframe Software Developers will work closely with a Business Analyst to complete assigned programming tasks, testing, and implementation for new and existing business application software. These are long term job openings, located in Harrisburg, PA., include a competitive hourly rate, 401k, and full medical benefits.

    CAI’s Autism 2Work Program mission is to help the many affected with Autism Spectrum Disorder who are looking for opportunities where they can do more, learn more and develop a career in Information Technology. This ground-breaking initiative employs IT professionals that have been affected by Autism. In order to be considered for this role, candidates must have a diagnosis which is on the Autism Spectrum.

    Position Requirements:

    Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred

    Technical Skills: General software development experience required.  Will learn the languages and the environments in training and on the job.

    • Strong organizational & time management skills
    • Aptitude for technical learning
    • Must be flexible to adjust schedule based on assignments given
    • Must be capable of working within the phases of the application systems project life-cycle
