    Computer Aid, Inc.- Tax Accountant

     

    Reports to: Director - Tax & Corporate Governance

    Location: Allentown, PA

     

                                                                           

    Job Summary:

     

    Responsible for income tax compliance functions on federal, international, state and local levels. Functions include preparing and analyzing Schedule M’s, preparing and/or reviewing tax return workpapers on an annual basis, reviewing fixed asset tax books, researching tax issues, coordinating tax audits, and other tax compliance related to the other entities, benefit plans, and charitable organizations associated with the company.

     

     

     

    Major Responsibilities:

     

    • Prepare and analyze Schedule M’s. Includes communicating with business unit personnel to obtain the necessary information.
    • Prepare or review federal, state, and local income tax workpapers, state quarterly tax estimates and extensions.
    • Gather and analyze the data for preparation of Forms 5471’s for foreign entities.
    • Research and draft responses to tax notices.
    • Review fixed asset tax books - including acquisitions, retirements, transfers and the calculation of depreciation and gain/loss on all assets.
    • Prepare year-end tax provision for applicable U.S. and foreign non-pass-through entities.
    • Provide federal and state tax law information by researching code sections, rules and regulations.
    • Coordinate income, sales & use tax, and other tax related audits.
    • Maintain tax calendar.

     

     

     

    Position Requirements/Technical Skills (CCC/Vendor)

     

    Requirements

     

    • Candidate must possess a Bachelors degree with a major in Accounting. CPA required, Masters in Taxation a plus.
    • Approximately 3-6 years of tax experience in public accounting and/or corporate environments performing tax compliance, tax research, and tax accounting. (Experience with international tax compliance a plus)
    • Working knowledge of relevant domestic tax regimes.
    • Experience with preparing and reviewing tax returns and interacting with government tax agencies.
    • Proficiency in Excel and Word.  Experience using CCH tax research software or comparable research tool.
    • Experience processing tax returns for mid to large size corporations.
