    This position is responsible for transactional support and procurement of required materials and services needed to support the business. Transactional buyer is responsible for administration of all day to day procurement activities including but not limited to reviewing requisitions, issuing requests for quotation (RFQs), issuing purchase orders, handling expedited orders, coordinating delivery terms, communicating with internal customers and external vendors. Transactional buyer may also work with accounts payable and the plant to resolve invoicing and receiving discrepancies.

    Individuals must be capable of being hands on, digging into details and delivering across the organization. This role requires the ability to multi-task and execute against daily operational requirements. Attention to detail and consistent follow through are critical to the success of this role.

    Position Requirements/Technical Skills (CCC/Vendor)


    1. Purchase goods and services that meet the specifications and requirements of the end user.
    2. Demonstrates basic knowledge of the practical application of goods and services for plant operations.
    3. Demonstrates ability to manage high volume of frequently recurring transactions in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
    4. Demonstrates ability to manage multiple internal customer requests (e.g., for plant and office supplies, etc.); is able to prioritize requests with guidance.
    5. Assist with Procurement Call Center involving answering emails through shared group mailbox and may work a rotating shared phone line.


    1. Background in business administration, supply chain, logistics, etc.
    2. Understanding of the purchasing process, from requisition to PO to payment
    3. Entry level procurement/supply chain professional with strong desire to build upon existing skill set.


    1. Time management & prioritization skills. 
    2. Strong customer service attitude. 
    3. Desire to understand existing processes and identify ways to create efficiencies and streamline processes
    4. Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
    5. Team player
    6. Ability to quickly learn and understand new processes


    1. Experience with purchasing module in ERP system.  Oracle experience is a plus.
    2. General understanding of various parts & services utilized in heavy manufacturing
    3. Experience using MS Excel
